Outstanding Corporate Partner Award:
The criteria for the organization receiving this Award includes:
This year’s outstanding corporate partner award is being given to a fairly new JDRF partner. Brad and Meredith Stadler were familiar with JDRF as they had participated in the walk supporting the team of a friend. A short time after their son Luke was then diagnosed at the age of 7. They continued to support and participate in the walk, but had contacted the chapter when they began a new venture – Crossfit DT1 – crossfit with a purpose – built on the idea that transformation can only come out of challenge. CrossFit DT1 donates 10% of gross revenue directly to DT1 Charities, a 501 (c) 3 non-profit organization founded by Meredith and Brad. The founders of DT1 charities pay all operational and fundraising expenses therefore 100% of every dollar raised goes directly to fund Type 1 diabetes research, awareness programs and outreach for T1D families.
In September 2016, they were approached by the JDRF South Jersey chapter asking if they would be willing to make a $10,000 match incentive for the OneWalk event in October. This was a new best practice shared with chapters from JDRF National walk team, the idea was to encourage family walk teams to fundraise over a 72 hour period and each dollars raised would be matched or doubled by DT1 Charities up to $10,000. This was a huge success for the chapter, the chapter and OneWalk raising over $40,000 in a three day period! Since this partnership has began in 2015, the JDRF South Jersey chapter has received more than $40,000 from DT1 charities in support of our mission.
We look forward to our continued partnership with the Stadlers and DT1 Charities.
It is with great pleasure to announce this year’s Corporate Partner Award:
